Data Reporting & Cleansing Service at ASL Ireland

Situation

During the migration from OASES to AMOS, ASL Ireland concluded that several area’s of their aircraft data needed to be re-assessed prior to being loaded into the new MRO software. This included partnumber definitions, Service Bulletins, Modifications and part assembly tree’s. As this data is being produced on an ongoing bases from the operational activities, an iterative setup was required in order to be able to correct the required data sets.

Solution

EXSYN deployed a dedicated data team to ASL Ireland in order to establish a baseline of current data setup in each of the identified area’s. This baseline served to define the different actions that needed to be taken on different dataset. In order to clean the different datasets, a multitude of solutions was used, ranging from individual assessment of service bulletins, processing of OEM IPC’s. OCR-recognition of PDF document content as well as RPA to facilitate automated processing.

Based on data validation reports established, the progress of cleaned data could be monitored to serve as input to the overall MRO software implementation project
