5 Things to know about: Bruno Cadete

Name: Bruno Cadete

Job Title: Aircraft Data Consultant

Working at EXSYN since: May 2019

5 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME:

  1. I'm Portuguese. I love my country and couldn't be prouder to come from Portugal. Either it be the different landscapes, from the vineyard hills in the north to the golden beaches in the south, the tasty food with unique traditional dishes, or simply the warmth of the people, if you haven't been there, please book your trip right now. You won't regret it and if you want advice don't hesitate to ask.

  2. I want to travel more and more. I was lucky that my parents could take me abroad from a young age. From exploring the four corners of Portugal to discover new continents, I can't get enough. There's nothing more enriching than to explore new places, share experiences with people from other backgrounds or breath in different cultures.

  3. I always wanted to work in aviation. Since I can remember talking, I always said: "I want to be an aeronautical engineer!"... Okay maybe in the beginning it was "I want to be an astronaut" but one must dream 😊. With the help and full support of my parents, I left the comfort of my home, studied hard and was able to fulfill my childhood dream and get my Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

  4. I was a Captain in the Portuguese Air Force. With 18 years I volunteered to the Portuguese Air Force Academy to get my education and become an officer. From my first contact with a military institution, I knew it was the right place for me and from 2005 to 2019, I went from Cadet to Captain, found my 2nd family (Academy Course of 2005, "Chakais", "Mais do que prometia a força humana") and had the opportunity to work with some incredible people. I thank them for helping me grow as a man, an officer and an engineer. I also thank them for the opportunities and experiences that I got there, from peace keeping missions around the world to experience the joy of flying military aircrafts (EH-101, C-130H, Alpha-Jet, F-16MLU...). Everything made my military career a memorable journey, that I will always cherish.

  5. "Why did you leave the Air Force?" The answer to this often-asked question is simple, although I was having a great experience it was time to settle in a place and pursue a higher goal, building my own family. In 2017, I fell for a Dutch woman and 2 years later we decided to marry. It was time to leave the nomad military life and think about our future together. As such, in 2019 we got married, decided to come live and work in Holland and I couldn't be happier with that decision. I live together with my wife, adopted a gorgeous German Shepard (Thor) and found EXSYN, a growing company I'm proud to be part of. More recently discovered I'm facing a new life changing challenge, parenthood. So, this journey is just getting better and better 😊

WORKING FOR EXSYN MEANS...

...being able to continue my joyful journey in the aviation world.

When I decided to leave the Air Force, I decided I would want to work for an organization or company that had the same values I always abided for: Integrity, Passion, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork and Respect. Within this frame I found EXSYN, a young company eager to grow and improve, where there is mutual respect and every team member is valued for its own qualities and skills. Since day 1, I found a group of friends, that are constantly trying help each other and the team, to become better, to achieve outstanding results or overcome constraints.

Another aspect that was also a good surprise for me, was the commitment to customer happiness. Without compromising professionalism, the company is always trying to develop the relationship with the customers and searching to make a positive difference in their lives. y vision aligned perfectly with EXSYN’s vision of an ever more digital and connected Airlines & MROs world. Through IT development, integration and business consulting we try everyday to push the industry forward and help our customers to increase their efficiency, either it be managing and operating aircrafts or running an MRO.Within EXSYN I found a company where I can add value, from my previous military career, to an already bright team and together help develop its footprint in the aviation landscape even further.
